Network: what the bridge needs

• Connect the bridge to your router (or a switch connected to it) with the network cable. Wi-Fi is not used.
• The bridge gets its address from the router automatically (DHCP). A fixed address is not needed.
• The recorder must be on the same network as the bridge.
• The bridge only makes outgoing connections to Kepto Cloud. Don't open or forward any ports on your router for Kepto.
• Data use is small: a few snapshots and counts. Live view uses about as much data as a video call, only while someone watches.

Mobile hotspots and routers that block devices from seeing each other ("AP isolation" or "guest network") can stop the bridge from reaching the recorder: use the main network.
