Choose what each camera tracks
Tell Kepto what each camera looks at, so it asks the right questions and sends the right alerts.

Open Cameras, tap a camera, and set:
- What it tracks: Everything (a short description of each event), People coming and going (counts people in and out, suggests family members), Vehicles (cars and bikes, number plates), Deliveries (delivery people and parcels) or Perimeter (anyone inside a protected area).
- Zones: draw the part of the picture that matters (a gate, a counter). Anything outside the zones is blacked out before the AI looks.
- Type of place: gate, entrance, counter, parking… Choose a private type (toilet, changing room, bedroom) for cameras that see private spaces: Kepto never analyses them.
- Which way people come in (for gates and doors), so people are counted as coming in or going out.
- Count people here for a counter or a room, to see how busy it is in Insights.
Fewer, clearer settings give better alerts and cost less.
